So here's my first actual post on Leaflet, which is maybe I'm going to use to post stuff about things in English, besides my main blog and Medium.

As the updated Community Guideline has been posted, some people are feeling a little bit concern about it. Especially about the allowed adult content that being shared on Bluesky Social.

Yes, they allowed consensual adult sexual content, but not for non-consensual ones, including the illustration, animation, that actually man-made, not the real depiction by a real person.

The problem is that there's a lot of fictional and illustrated adult content that seems non-consensual because it's considered part of a fantasy setting. And not to mention it's just for a pleasure, and we understand that it's imaginary and fantasy, not a real thing.

I understand if it's for moderating adult content that depicts real people, but for illustrated work, that's quite limiting the creative expression.

We got violence, horror and morally questionable stuffs going on, which means including adult content. I know in real life it's horrible and sensitive, but it's a fantasy stuff.

The platform, in here is Bluesky Social, needs to draw a line between fantasy depiction and real harm. I think it's okay if the guideline let people do creative fantasy work as long as they use tags and content warnings, which is available on Bluesky AppView and other apps.

Don't hard limit it, but it's okay to put a clear sign what's okay and what's not and letting the community thrive by their own will. Platform-wide policies may not always recognize those nuances, don't be like Meta or Twitter.
